Classroom Rules & Consequences
1. Every individual in this classroom is treated with respect.
2. Complete all assignments and do your own work. 3. You must wear your own ID at all times. 4. Abide by SHHS code of conduct and rules. 5. This classroom is a RED ZONE unless indicated. *Consequences: 1. Verbal Warning. 2. Phone Call Home. 3. Detention. 4. Discipline Referral. *Depending on the severity of the situation, the consequences may not be in this order. Assignments & HomeworkAll work will be completed to the best of your knowledge and ability. I expect you to turn in your own original work on time. If you are absent, you will have the number of days equal to the absence to make up the work.
Grading: Assessments will count as 75% of your grade and homework and in class work will count as 25%. Assessments include any tests, quizzes, projects, and participation. Attendance & SuppliesPlease be in your seat when the bell rings. Regular attendance is required to perform well in this class. If you are absent, it is your responsibility to check the absent binder for missed work.
It is imperative that you come to class prepared and ready to work. Please bring the following to class every day: a one inch three ring binder with five tabs, your textbook, a pencil with an eraser, a blue or black ink pen, and completed homework assignments. If I require any other supplies, I will let you know in advance. If you come to class and you are not prepared, you will not be allowed to leave the room to go to your locker to get it. Bathroom passes will be allowed only when you have your own agenda. Participation It is your responsibility to follow along and pay attention throughout class. I expect that you are able to respond either verbally or in writing to the material at the appropriate time. Please do not be embarrassed to speak in Spanish. I am here to help you! If you ever have any questions or concerns, please talk to me about it.
Participation Points will be part of your grade. When you answer a question, volunteer to read etc., you will receive participation points. You will not be penalized for pronunciation, it's your effort that counts! |
