Assignments & Homework
All work will be completed to the best of your knowledge and ability. I expect you to turn in your own original work on time. If you are absent, you will have the number of days equal to the absence to make up the work.
Grading: Assessments will count as 75% of your grade and homework and in class work will count as 25%. Assessments include any tests, quizzes, projects, and participation. Late assignments will be accepted up to 3 days late and will result in an automatic 20% grade reduction.
Attendance & Supplies
Please be in your seat when the bell rings. Regular attendance is required to perform well in this class. If you are absent, it is your responsibility to check the absent binder for missed work.
It is imperative that you come to class prepared and ready to work. Please bring the following to class every day: a one inch three ring binder with five tabs, your textbook, a pencil with an eraser, a blue or black ink pen, and completed homework assignments. If I require any other supplies, I will let you know in advance. If you come to class and you are not prepared, you will not be allowed to leave the room to go to your locker to get it.
Bathroom passes will be allowed only when you have your own agenda.
It is your responsibility to follow along and pay attention throughout class. I expect that you are able to respond either verbally or in writing to the material at the appropriate time. Please do not be embarrassed to speak in Spanish. I am here to help you! If you ever have any questions or concerns, please talk to me about it.
Participation Points will be part of your grade. When you answer a question, volunteer to read etc., you will receive participation points. You will not be penalized for pronunciation, it's your effort that counts!
